Construction, formats, surfaces, installation and warranty — everything you need to specify a HARO floor.
Most HARO floors are three-layer engineered timber: a 3.5 mm wear layer of hand-graded European oak, bonded to a cross-stacked solid spruce core over a softwood backing veneer. Cross-bonding the layers all but eliminates the swelling and shrinking of solid wood — so the board stays flat and stable, season after season.
Our parkettmanufaktur herringbone and strip parquet use a two-layer construction, just 10 mm thick with a ~3.5 mm oak top — a low build height that's ideal for renovations and always laid bonded.
The entire HARO parquet range is suitable for modern underfloor heating and cooling. Bonded installation gives the best heat transfer — and because timber feels warm underfoot, you can typically run the system a degree or two cooler.
HARO engineered floors carry a 30-year residential warranty (laminate 25 years), subject to correct installation and care.
