Grade describes how much natural character a floor shows — the knots, colour variation and grain movement that make timber unique. It is about personality, not quality.

HARO's calmer grades, like Universal, keep colour and grain even and restrained. More expressive grades such as Markant and Sauvage celebrate knots, sapwood and natural movement for a richer, more rustic look. Choosing a grade is really about how lively you want your floor to feel.
